Digital Bodies (2019)

Art Series using Human Bodies with a Digital Process

Starting with 3D scans of people and organic material, Digital Bodies depicts human integration with digital materials as a physical reality. These works begin as staged poses which are captured using a handheld 3D scanner and imported into a real-time virtual environment. Clay, metal, stone and molten lava form bodies and flora alike while distinctly digital artifacts permeate each composition. Textures created using Substance Painter, and rendered in real-time using Marmoset Toolbag.

Software used: Agisoft Metashape, Zbrush, Substance Painter, Blender, Marmoset Toolbag
